I am a nervous Nellie when it comes to the drums that are lined. Usually white or red the way I understand it. If you look into it the liner material can be very dangerous in a high heat situation. And for many the advantage of drum cooking is hot and fast.

Some out there are burning the liner out and some are grinding it out. I personally am not going to buy anymore drum smokers that have ever had a liner in it. Not worth it to me. Especially when you have several drum makers out there willing to work with new drums and they aren't that much more. In fact may actually be cheaper if the drum maker doesn't have to deal with the liner.
