I think the rule on brisket says you must cook only whole, point or flats. Maybe its a little vague on the grind it up part? But I guess Id never see pulled brisket but I have so why not brisket burgers? As far as the all 2s go for sausage. Aren't the judges suppose to judge what's in the box? If they give all 2s to a properly inspected and properly cooked and properly boxed item then a judge should be dismissed from further judging. Give ME a break! Is the BOD prepared to do toss a judge out for giving out 2s? I sure hope so. We could see country style ribs, remember they're not a rib so they can be put in as an entry, pork steaks, cushion meat, separated out tubes, sausage etc. Im curious, should teams expect 2s for those items too??? Does the BOD expect a lot of slow down at the judges tables when judges are calling for help from the reps and table captains when these new cuts show up at their tables?

And while Im on my high horse. The theory that I've read about this new rule saving us money. Really? If the BOD wants to save us money how about banning wagyu briskets? Now instead of saving me $30 bucks on 2 pork butts the BOD could now save me $150 each week on briskets. Now that's real savings! And while we're at it lets toss out garnish and organic chickens and heritage breed hogs too. Dang with these kind of savings I can almost justify this hobby to my wife now!

Trying to allow cooks to separate and grill the mm after it was cooked is one thing. I could probably have accepted that as a change although even that would be a tough pill to swallow. But this rule I think has gone to far. We've tossed the baby out with the bathwater in order to achieve the grill the post cooked mm agenda.  I'm getting old and grouchy and I don't like change, well at least not this kind of change. Sorry all for the rant, Ill take my medication and go to bed...
