Amen, it really isn't even a meat contest anymore, it is more about how much you can enhance the meat.

Used to be the first thing I did when getting home from a contest was to eat a bbq sandwich, now I do good to eat half of one. Why? Because in order to win, it has so much crap added to it, it is too sickening to eat the whole thing. Would I spend good money to buy what is winning these days. No, wouldn't buy what I can't eat.

BBQ is a simple food, cooked simply, it not meant to taste like chemicals or candy.
