For those of you wondering about getting a smoker let me share my experience.I looked i narrowed it down to a lang,Klose or horizon.I was wanting a backyard smoker with about a 36" cooking chamber and about a 20" firebox. The prices of the klose was highest followed by lang then horizon. All under 2000.00.The lang was a reverse flow and supposedly consumes a lot of fuel and too low a temp for grilling,Also the top did not open on the firebox so im assuming there is no grilling in the firebox. The klose is what i really liked because the square fire box looks more roomy. And you can grill in it.It also comes standard with the pull out 2nd shelf and the warming plate is the top of the firebox.Although ive never laid my eyes on one they sound nice.I can lay my eyes on the horizon at our local stove supply store. They look sweet. The build quality was fantastic. And i love the big metal wheels better than the Klose or Langs wheels.I thought id try to order one from the factory direct but was told shipping would be around 360.Shipping on the Klose was 500.And about the same on the Lang.I went with the Horizon and heres why.I went to my local stove store and got it at the same price as the Horizon Factory quoted me and did not have to pay no shipping charges whatsoever. The money i saved went on extras(extra thermometer, warming plate, pull out 2nd shelf, convection plate.I mean its loaded! And i got 6 months credit same as cash.It smokes wonderful!!!
