Yoder Smoker Cheyenne

I am debating getting a good offset smoker. The Okie Joes are for sale for about 480 three blocks from my house. The main chamber holds a bit over 700 sq in of room. I know that it is not welded and I would have to assemble it myself.

Someone told me that I ought to look into something similar in size but that comes with 1/4 inch steel vs. 2.5mm.

I used to live in Wichita and have seen these Yoder smokers before and they seem like good quality. The Cheyenne is running 850 a pop, and the main cooking chamber is a little over 500 sq in.

Is it worth a seven hour round trip or 95 dollars in shipping, loss of 200 sq in space, and already welded vs bolts and self assembly to get the better quality? Are the Yoders the best quality smoker for that price or do you guys know of another brand that might be less but has the same 1/4 inch and quality welds? Thanks again guys.
