True each entry is supposed to be judged on it's own merit, however if it isn't about the meat and good bbq the scores should reflect that.

It is about the meat entry, not about how far a team travels, how much money they spent or how much work they put into it. All teams do that, but not teams cook as good as others.

BBQ is a simple food. Cook all your food outside over fire and see if it is not all better. A baked potato is better cooked in the oven instead of the microwave, and a baked potato cooked outside on the grill is even better than in the oven.

The question is how do we get it back to the meat? How many teams and contest is KCBS going to lose because nobody wants to compete anymore?
