I remember it must be at least 12-14 years ago when I was judging a lot and having to travel far distances because there weren't a lot of contests near DC..I was allowed to see how ribs were marinated and the cooker only put a light rub on his ribs and a very light finishing glaze..they were superb ribs ...almost 2 years ago in Gainesville ,ga.I had the best rib I have ever tasted in over 242 contests ,it was simple ,it was rubbed and lightly sauced and the meat really shined through ,thank you Forest for a rib for the ages (he did not win ribs that year and the other onsite judges should be ashamed and the blind judges also)
