I would rather see the solution come through instruction and training than in changing the rules.
The objective to competing is to win, and we had made changes to win. The changes have not been for the better as we can't stand to eat we win with now. That was not the case in the past. In the past all our awards were won with bbq you could eat and enjoy. BBQ you were proud to share with family, neighbors and friends. However bbq cooked like in the past(non candied, parkayed, chemical injected) will place you at the bottom. Not really much point in competing if you don't want to win. If we want to just cook bbq that we like to eat, we can stay at home and save a lot of money and time.
