Again it is not about my personal tastes, as I prefer one type of sauce over another, even spicy heat wise. Yet that does not mean that meat with a different sauce or less heat than I prefer is not good or deserves a lower score because it doesn't meet my personal preference. And I don't judge based on what I prefer. If your entry is meat cooked naked with no rub and/or no sauce and it is has good smoke and meat flavor it gets scored accordingly, if your entry has a rub and/or sauce that compliments the meat it gets scored accordingly. Both entries could receive the same scores, one doesn't receive a better score than the other based on me personally preferring one over the other.
Ban? Nothing needs to be banned if the focus in on the flavor of the meat instead of focusing on what and how much can be adding to the meat to the point one asks where's the meat?
