Didn't realize you were familiar with the specific contest "Donnie" was inquiring about.

I was careful in the wording I used in my post, "...if the normal KCBS rules applied (assuming it's for a KCBS event)...".

Ancillary category rules are strickly up to the contest organizer to determine. Quite often the contest organizer will elect to have KCBS rules applied to the ancillary categories such as no preseasoning of meats until after meat inspection.

If the contest organizer elected to utilize KCBS rules then a pre corned/cured corned beef would not be allowed.
