Ray, don't you think that he might have meant that unconsciously you might have leaned toward Myron? I think it's natural for people to be biased one way or another based on personal relationships or reputations which is why on most of these BBQ shows, as in BBQ Pitmasters and in comps, there's blind judging so you take that bias question out of it. PD is not the only one to question if the judges might be biased based on who is presenting or what they see cooking (see Meathead's criticisms/reviews on HuffPo last year).
Still, I liked it and you had good, informative comments as usual. Looking forward to more episodes.
Oh, and if y'all are wondering who the other judge, Kevin Gillispie is, he was previously on Top Chef and he's known for barbecuing/grilling in his restaurants. I believe he was in the episode last year when they cooked at the Salt Lick. He may not be a certified BBQ judge or on a comp team, but the guy has a solid reputation as a chef.
