Cooking frozen steaks

This afternoon I turned on the television in my office so I could watch the Megyn Kelly (my favorite news reporter) on Fox. I try never to miss her show. Anyway, when the TV came on it was set to the channel the Chew Food show is on (I never watch this program) and they were blow torching a steak so I watched it for a bit. They were doing a cooking comparison of cooking a room temperature steak in a cast iron skillet and searing a solid frozen steak with a blow torch, then cooking for two hours in a 200 degree oven. They had about ten people taste test both of them and everyone liked the frozen steak except for one. That was enough of the chew for me and I switched to Megyn Kelly.

The immediate thought that came to my mind was instead of two hours in an oven it would be better in a smoker. If you put it in a WSM for the two hours without the water pan in and a couple of chunks of Pecan I bet it would be great.
