I don't know if re-posting this again will work I certainly hope it does so you can get the answers that your looking for. Over the last three days there have been a lot of people that are qualified to give you the answers but for some reason they have elected not to up to this point. Just look at the numbers on this latest poll. A very small number of people that can vote actually do vote. Yet in the last week we have had over 200 long term competition cooks vote in that poll and trust me, thousands of people have visited the forum in the same period of time.
You have mentioned twice now that "it has become difficult to get a little help" and your correct that some people are more reluctant to share cooking secrets then in the past. I think a lot of it has to do with the money that is involved in competition barbecue now. Giving up secrets now can cost you money later on in contests and big dollars can be made teaching barbecue classes. That big money was not there in the past when people were maybe free to tell everything.
I can't help you more than I already have as I really don't know much about injections. I am kind of a purest in the sense that I don't like to use a lot of ingredients that are found in commercial injection compounds. I read labels on most everything I eat. In my pork butts I inject apple juice and my briskets I use beef broth. I can tell you that in the past I have used Minors beef, chicken and pork stock with very good results. But then I am really trying to take care of my health now days. Heck, only eat meat once a day and then not very large potions. My doctor finally convinced me that I have to take better care of my health. I also exercise every day as much as I can.
