Well, at times I feel like a whimp. In quest of better health I have had to give up shell fish, coffee, alcohol and I spend a lot of time each day exercising. The caffeine started making my heat skip beats (very uncomfortable) so no more caffeine but I do have a bit of chocolate once an a while. As for the alcohol I drank a lot most of my life and finally caught up with me me so I quit. I don't miss it much but I go get the urge to have some whiskey now and them but I don't.

Now for your gout (I have that as well) here is a tip. Talk to your doctor about taking allopurinol (if that is not the med your already taking)if your doctor says you can take it and your will be able to eat anything and never have any more gout. I am not a doctor but check it out.
