Mary Ann, I went to five grocery stores and only found one pack of beef ribs. They had almost no meat on them. Market guy said they had received lots of complaints about how little meat on them. I finally went to Cosco and bought a pack of what they call Beef Chuck Short Ribs. They are not ribs at all, no bone in them, but are cut from the beef chuck in strips about 2" X 3" X 8". They were well marbled and I'm hoping they will be good. I browned them on the stove top this morning with salt and pepper rubbed in, then put them in the slow cooker, than poured a Paula Dean sauce recipe for ribs that I got on line. Has chili sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, marmalade, cumin, brown sugar, graded ginger, and crushed garlic in it. I have used it once before and it was good. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
