What kind of flavor are you going for? The steak seasonings are (obviously) geared toward beef. With chicken you probably want something with a lot less salt, and more sweet/heat. If you are in the Northeast, Old Bay is a good base, Lemon Pepper (if you can find the real stuff, not the filler stuff at most stores), and premixes.
I always preferred mixing my own rubs, and started by using a couple on About.com as a base. It is definitely worth it. The link is below.
