Put down? Barbecue is a cooking method. Wrapping meat in foil or putting it an aluminum pan is steaming or braising not barbecue. If you are steaming meat in foil and think you are cooking barbecue then maybe you interpret it as a put down. It's merely a fact. At least in the last couple of shows while the cooks were putting the meat in a pan or foil they called it what it is, braising and steaming.
