I did some digging around and could not come up with much information on comments about putting a guru on a kettle. I don't know if I would do it because of the need to drill holes in it. I am very good with tools and I wouldn't like doing it. I did see one comment that said to use a step drill. I would call and talk to the Guru people and get their input.

I saw one comment that suggested turning off the Guru before taking off the lid and then turning it back on after putting the lid back on. The reason being there is a massive heat loss when taking off the kettle lid and the Guru will overcompensate when you do it.

I did find some videos on youtube not all of them are what your talking about but maybe they will help.
