Chopped (with or without sauce) is a legal entry if you're referring to competitions. In my 12 yr. judging career, I've never seen it presented that way at a comp. I prefer it sliced, as it's a better indication of the meats' tenderness, and the skill of the cooks.

Chopped however, goes best in a hash made from same. Some prefer sandwiches on cheap white fluffy buns with chopped meat, onions, pickles, etc. There's a place for it, in legitimate bbq.
