Still pretty much stuck in bed Jon. Had a hospital bed brought in. Makes it easier to transfer to wheelchair. Been to the kitchen once since I've been home. Going to Vanderbilt tomorrow to see doc and about getting my 32 stitches taken out. The area where the bone came through skin on left leg is just about healed so I'm going to try getting a leg on it today which will make transferring much easier:)

Right leg still has a way to go. Still going to be non weight bearing on it for another good month or two more. When the orthopedic trauma surgeon came in to see me he tools me I was pretty hardcore with the amount of damage I did to both legs. I just knew I hurt pretty bad. I did ask him to please do whatever he could to save the knee/leg. After all I've been through I just want ready to adjust to going above knee especially on the right leg. I gotta a lot of fight left and desire to help others and told him that would really slow me down:)

Having a wonderful woman in my life had been a blessing and has made much of this much easier. The better I feel the more frustrated I get since I'm not one that asks for help often. She knows I had things coming up good wise. While I can't do them all ages is doing all she can to help get some of it done like cooking buts and ribs for a high school fundraiser and she still wants to help me do brisket and sides for 250 in late Sept. With a little planning and organizing she will help me make it happen:) Today she is getting some of my grills brought over to the house I'm staying at. That will be my therapy:) Have an area here I can roll into and do some cooking.

Gotta keep thinking positive! :)
