I'd be willing to bet the Table of Death was composed of "master judges" who are quite sure they know everything there is to know about barbecue, and because the barbecue they cook is simply the best in the universe, everything that crossed the table was substandard, at best. People off the street tend to score high. And they're usually more appreciative, which is why I'd rather cook for them (no offense to the good doctor, who needs to pay a visit to Kansas City's foremost BGE dealer, KCBBQsource.com).
