I would think it would take about six to seven hours if the last half it was cooked wrapped with foil. I have looked through my notes and 300 is about as high as you want to go for it to pull good. I have heard it will cook quicker if cut into to two pieces instead of one 6 pound piece, plus have more bark. I think but all this is a guess, on my part, since I have never done it. I have cooked pork butt rather quick at 275 with no problem.
