Before you put another grill on your deck check with your fire department. In many states they have laws against doing this. In 34 years as an insurance agent I can remember seeing claims for fire damage to many decks and house siding to count, at least 3 total losses of homes and even a couple of serious injuries to the homeowners families. I'm pretty sure every state has laws regarding grills on apartment decks if only the local authorities would enforce them.
Why would you want to take a chance of property loss or injury because you don't want to step off the deck and cook at a safe distance?
