I hadnt heard that before. From what I gather last year the police went through after the gates closed and wanted everyone that wasnt part of a team to leave. Mainly in the vending areas and backyard division. Similar to what happens at the Royal. They didnt do that this year, if they did I didnt see it. Havent heard anything about any DUI checks at the gate. The police are always there directing traffic for the people that attend. I doubt they would have time to stop all 30k people leaving for a dui check and it not make the news.
The one thing that did change was the fee to park. It was free now it was 5$. Part of that was to make more money of course, but also to encourage carpooling. For a 140 team contest it runs pretty smooth. Of course I am a little biased this year.lol RGC
