As I travail around Florida I am always on the look out for BBQ signs. I try as many as would be practical but more often than not I am totally disappointed. Even highly recommended sites have been let downs probably because of the day to day grind of cooking for the public. Finding burnt ends nothing more than large dried out cubes of brisket and smoked chicken that looks great on the outside but turning to a dry powder in the mouth,
I'm sure there are BBQ stores that still have a passion for great food but it's getting really expensive and a lot of food thrown in the trash can.
Now before some of you rip into me with the "If you can do better" comments.....I know good BBQ. With my FEC100 and Lang and judging many contest, really good BBQ is no stranger.
