MaryB is exactly right about both Oaks.
We have also been told that when White Oak is burned correctly (stacked-up in a manner that it burns unto itself as it falls) and when used along with an initial Rock Maple Base Fire stacked in the same manner . You Can achieve a 6-hour burn time, in our New Lang Model 84 BBQ Smokers. Look for how-to video soon, we will add it to our Utube Channel
