In Wikipedia it states the calorie breakdown as: 92% Fat and 8% protein. About once or twice a month I buy a half a pound of bacon and cook it all at once. It takes me three or four days to eat it. Now when I cook bacon I blot the cooked slices to get as much of the fat as is possible out. I just can't imagine myself eating anything that is 92% fat. Over the last eight years I have watched my fat intake closely because of some health problems. My veins are really clear. Five years ago I had about 45% blockage in my carotid artery's. Last year I had them checked and my doctor said not to worry about them they are in great shape. I guess pork belly is not in the cards for me.
