Anyone got a problem with that?
Here is a list of the various occupations I have had over the last fifty years:
Starting from the age of eight I worked in the family hardware store. My brother and I were the fifth generation to work at the store. I worked with my dad and grandpa for about 15 years. I worked in the local bowling alley for two years. I have worked in various factories making electric transformers, roof trusses and railroad crossing signals.
I was a clerk for the Missouri Attorney Generals Office for one year. I have 15 years experience repairing bridges for MoDot in which I have done carpentry, concrete and iron work. I have twenty five years experience in the bar business. I was a booking agent for bands for five years. I have also done work as a tree trimmer and worked as a garbage man. (The pay was poor but it was all you could eat.) I worked for six months in a local BBQ restaurant. As most folks around here know, I have been a beerman at Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums for the last twenty plus years. I am currently employed at the University of Central Missouri as a materials handler.
I left out the seven years I spent as a professional student. There are probably some jobs I left out too. The only good thing about reaching the age of 58 is this. I used to tell people I was underemployed. Now I can tell them I am semi-retired.
Beers to all,
