Maybe it's just me, but why does KCBS (and most other contests) allow electric devices to be used in the operation of cooking? If propane is cheating, then isn't the use of fans and thermostats and electric hoppers cheating also? Isn't the ability to operated your pit JUST as important to winning a competition as your methods, rubs, sauces, type of wood, ect, ect? The rules are suppose to even out the playing field, not give certain teams a unfair advantage, correct?
Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, just trying to get some good honest feedback here.
