This looks like a very good machine. I have one or their diamond stones and it works very well. It's a good company with a good reputation. But the price is too high for me. Amazon has it listed at $170.

Another problem I have is my two sons are very well educated ( could almost be called knife snobs) when it comes to knifes. They they would have serious doubts about me if I bought another machine like this. They really didn't approve of me when I bought a chefs choice sharpen a few years ago. One of my sons has even started making knifes and while back and even though he is new in the knife making deal he us doing really good work.
