Just came across this site and I am in need of some help and suggestions. I am looking into purchasing a natural gas BBQ to put in an outside covered kitchen. The problem is that the location where the BBQ needs to go is against a wall (there is an exhaust fan above this space) and I'm not sure of what type of grill I need to purchase. I live in a small town and there are no BBQ experts here; just the usual generic lowes place. I am looking to spend about $500-$1,000 and was looking at buying the Weber Spirit E-310. But I started thinking, if I buy a grill like that, will there be enough space behind the grill to open and close the lid? I have included a picture of the kitchen. The space for the grill to fit is about 30" wide, 24" deep (from wall to the end of the counter) and 66 inches high (from ground to bottom of exhaust fan). Would something like the Weber work? Do I need to go with something different, like some sort of grill/stove (i.e. no lid)? Any comments and suggestions would be much appreciated!
