A fund raiser for a group called Partners for Healing was held tonight on BBQ Hill. The groups purpose is to provide medical help to working people who could not otherwise afford any care. The usual food, bbq, fish and sides was served. Music was provided but the main attraction was the auction. A bottle of Jack Daniels Frank Sinatra whiskey went for 300 dollars. I thought the two most interesting items that sold were judging seats to the upcoming JD contest to be held next month. They sold a seat judging the back yard contest for $750. A seat to judge the main event went for (insert drum roll here) $3,000. Yes I said three thousand dollars! For this amount you also get to take the KCBS class for judges. It was good to see a lot of money raised for a good cause.
