I have been asked to cook for a marching band contest being hosted by a local high school. They want me to cook ribs and chicken thighs/drumsticks. Pulled pork sandwiches would be my preference but they have a parent volunteer that cooks crock pot pulled pork (yikes!) and they don't want me to compete with his creation that he will sell at this event. Do you think ribs and chicken is good stadium food? I have my doubts and don't have a clue how much to cook. I've never cooked for a crowd where I didn't know how many people were attending. They told me there could be 3,000-5,000 people there. Anyone else out there cooked for this kind of event? I'm curious what has worked for you. I appreciate any input you are willing to give!
