First, I've noticed that the curly parsley sticks less than the flat parsley.
I pick it off and it doesn't effect any of my scores UNLESS it is covering the meat or somehow is distracting from the meat for the appearance scores.
I do like the taste of parsley, but not when I'm judging BBQ. That second bite AFTER I have written down my score doesn't really matter if I get a piece of parsley mixed in with it. ;>)
