These have a dedicated cooking area for grilling. Some other pellet grills on the market have places you can put attachments' on or move parts around to be able to somewhat direct cook but all of them require a change of set up. None of those have a full with flavorizer and flame tamer with a ash and dripping pan below them. They're like a "Shop Smith", if you know what I mean. The design of the charbroiler on my grill is used in our commercial units here
