I have a Brinkman electric smoker with a 1500 watt heating element. It didn't come with a thermometer, so I bought one and attached it to the lid. I'm lucky if I can get the smoker to get to 200 degrees. I've read reviews on this one where people got up to 300 degrees. I would like to get between 225-250. What could help to get the heat up? Less or no water in the water pan, more or less wood in the smoke box, ect...?
