I would NOT cook any meat that I did NOT have complete control over how it was handled. What if this "friend" left the meat in his trunk overnight because he just forgot about it? OK, say he put in in the refrigerator just as soon as he remembered it, and it was cold all the way through when you received it, how would you know?
