First we're assuming they make it out of any one game playoff on Monday, October 3 and/or win a Wild Card game held on either Tuesday/Wednesday, October 4/5, if necessary. That having been said, if the Royals make the Divisional round of the playoffs, there could be a conflict on the weekend of October 7-9 if the Royals record allowed them to have the first two games at home.
In 2015, the ALDS games were played as follows:
Game 1: Thursday
Game 2: Friday
Game 3: Sunday
Game 4: Monday
Game 5: Wednesday
while the NLDS games were played:
Game 1: Friday
Game 2: Saturday
Game 3: Monday
Game 4: Tuesday
Game 5: Thursday
I don't know how MLB determines which league starts their game first but, if they alternate from year to year, the ALDS would happen on what is listed as the NLDS schedule above. If the Royals start the ALDS on the road, there would not be a conflict as they wouldn't be at home until Monday but, if they start at home, there would be a conflict either way.
I don't know if there is any truth to this but I read recently that Kansas Motor Speedway is under consideration as a site for the AR in 2016.
