Congratulation Mike and Bubba for the team of the year.....Looking
forward to the start of the 1996 season. I just wish it would
quit snowing around here in KC so my neighbors will stop thinking
I'm nuts cooking in my snow suit. Brrrrrr

Joe,
Thanks for the compliment. I couldn't have done it with my helper
and good friend Bubba. It's a lot of work to prepare, transport,
set up, cook, prepare entries, clean up, pack up and head home
from a contest. I'm not going to cook as much in 1996 (24 contests
in 29 weeks last year bout wore me out). I'll hit a few with the
larger purses and State Championship titles, but since I've already
earned my invites for 96 to the Royal and Jask Daniels I'm going
to help Bubba and be on his team. His first goal will be to win
the Kansas State Novice Championship coming up May 10th (which
is also an invite) and then I intend to show him how bad I can
whip his ass head to head at the end of the year at the majors.
Seriously, ol Bubba been cooking a lot this winter and doing some
catering to earn some money for competition and I think he'll
do real good on the circuit. So all you rookies out there, watch
out.

Tue, 30 Jan 1996 19:47:15 -0700 Mike, Armadillo Bob gave
me the news last week that you won the title for the year. Congratulations,
you definitely worked hard for it. I hope to get to cook some
in 1996 after we get out of Chicago. See you
on the tour somewhere. Cimarron Doc.

Hi again Doc,
One of these days I want you tell and verify the story that you
was right beside me in Des Moines this year at the Bar-B-Qlossal
competing and wittnessed me cook a whole hog, whole, on a Weber
Bullet! Sounds like some real KC BS, Anybody out there wanna bet
five bucks? don't you'll lose!
Hope everthing going real well for you in Chi town. See you for
sure at the Illinois State Championship, King James presiding.
