Dear Forum Readers, It is time to end the survey and announce the forum results as well as the actual scores this entry received in the recent KCBS contest in which the entry was submitted.

The votes were tallied up to and including Miked's post and I have included a score of 8 that I received by e-mail. I counted 43 scores and did not include the DQ scores or Bubba's Tacorama score. Any score that includes 1/2 of a point or said 7 or 8 was marked up to the higher score. (I believe KCBS rules state that if a score is to be changed, that score can only be marked up and not marked down.)

Here are the forum scores, respective (number of scores) and the percentages of that said score:

9 - (04) - 09%
8 - (19) - 44%
7 - (13) - 32%
6 - (06) - 13%
4 - (01) - 02%

This chicken was submitted in the recent KCBS contest at Parsons, Kansas. The actual scores are as follows and they are in order of appearance, tenderness and taste:

987 - 899 - 889 - 899 - 899 - 877

The chicken took fourth place and was submitted by Mitch and his team of Smokestack Attack. The chicken was cooked on a BGE.

Thanks to Ray for allowing us to do this and Mitch for submitting the photograph. Thanks go out to all who participated. Your comments are what make these surveys a learning experience for all of us.

If anyone would like to submit a picture for a future survey, please contact me at the above e-mail address. Please DO NOT send me pictures as my e-mail account cannot handle too many photographs.

Thanks again to one and all. Beers!
