Good luck finding bbq wood in Colorado. I used to live in Loveland - Boulder and it looked like the only kind of wood you'd see anywhere was aspen and pine and you know you can't use those. From what I remember there was only one cooking wood that was readily available there and that was apple wood over on the western slope (Fruita, Grand Junction etc.). Other than that you might be able to hook up with a tree removal/landscape service that might take trees down for people in the Denver area. If there's any hardwood in Colorado it'll most likely be oak that will be along the front range but hardwood is still VERY limited there. Outside of that you're probably going to be in the market for a pellet cooker. Good luck.
