That's what I'd do, too, if the pan will still support itself. In addition to foiling the pan's bottom, I scatter a few (maybe a half-dozen) small balls of crumpled foil on top of the foil in the pan, then add another sheet of foil on top of the foil balls, creating an insulating air space that will help prevent the dripping juices from scorching.
