Our trailer has a double axel so we went with a hardened cable with lock from Home Depot.

The cable has a coating/sleeve around it to minimize scratches to the wheels; it loops through the spokes of both wheels on one side of the trailer.

Another option would be to buy one of those "Denver Boot" thangs. They sell them on Amazon.

Maybe a little sign that says, "Equipped With Lo-Jack/GPS".
