Hello to all.
As I posted earlier I am cherry brining and then smoking a steamship round of pork for a early Christmas dinner (Dec. 17th). The brining is almost done and then it will go through a long rinsing process.
I have a cherry rub recipe that uses cherry flavored Kool-aid. I find though that the Kool-Aid doesn't carry the cherry "POP" that I'm trying to achieve. So I did some research and found some people are using cherry Jello instead.
My questions are...
Has anyone here tried both the Kool-Aid AND the Jello in their rubs? And if so which do you like better.
