I like using leftover BBQ meats in "non-BBQ" recipes. I think this is the third soup recipe I have posted. I am in the process of collecting the recipes I have posted here over the years and using them for a cookbook for my three sons. I have other recipes that I have conjured and collected over the years that they want copies of too.
One other project I have going is collecting all of my venison recipes and cooking methods and rewriting them into a long post for those folks who might be interested. My two buddies and I are having our annual deer grind this weekend. We have 90 pounds of cleaned venison, 25 pounds of brisket fat and trimmings, 20 pounds of pork shoulder, 10 pounds of bacon trimmings and five pounds of pork loin fat and trimmings. I will post a report about this year's grind in a week or two.
