My name is Barry McCorkle and I am 33 years old. I have been married for 10 years and we have 3 girls. I am originally a Lowcountry native of South Carolina, having lived in Summerville, SC most of my lif. I now live in Anderson, SC, which is almost h alf way in between Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, Ga. A Mechanical Engineering graduate of Clemson University, I now work for BASF Corp. as a process engineer for automotive nylon fibers manufacturing. If you drive a Jeep Cherokee or a Chrysler Neon or a F ord minivan, chances are that I made the nylon fiber for your floorboard or floor mat.

I started barbecuing with a Charbroil H2O smoker that my wife bought for Father's Day, 2 years ago. My first attempts at bbq was hams and turkeys. Within a few mon ths, I was smoking pork butts with some success. This year I had decided to upgrade and my heart was set on a NBBD, since seeing one at Home Depot and it looked like the ones the prof's use. But, then I found this site and changed my mind. I purchased a WSM and am now gaining experience with it. I also liked the idea of buying another bullet style smoker due to size and weight. I just was not ready put a 200 lb cast iron cooking machine on the back patio.

This forum is great and I really enjoy t he discussions/advice.
